New Hampshire Better Business Bureau's Top Honor
Moultonborough, NH-June 14, 2017 - The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of New Hampshire awarded the 2017 'Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics' in the large business category to CruCon Cruise Outlet (CruCon), one of the top leaders in cruise and travel in North America. The annual award from the BBB is the highest honor given to for-profit businesses that demonstrate their commitment to advancing trust and ethics in the marketplace.

An independent panel of judges selected the finalists and winners based on leadership, commitment to ethical practices, communication, performance management practices, human resource practices and commitment to the community. Winners were announced during a dinner event held at the Bedford Village Inn on June 14, 2017 in Bedford, NH.

CruCon was selected out of three finalists in the large business category, representing companies with more than 51 employees. Eligible companies must be in good standing with BBB with a rating of 'B' or higher. CruCon has consistently maintained an A or A+ rating with the BBB since becoming a member in 2005.
Accepting the award was Mel Burton, Guest Relations Manager for CruCon. An employee with over thirteen years of experience with the company, she explained the company's position of choosing excellence above convenience. "I can assure you," she said, "that we do not always do things the easy way. Every day we make difficult decisions and we sometimes do things the hard way, but it's the right way." She encourage those in attendance to do the same.
Echoing those sentiments, is CEO and Founder, Sandy Cleary. "Our staff is charged on a daily basis with enforcing the ethics practices and principles on which I founded this company many moons ago in my Mom's basement. I firmly believe that our word is our bond."
